Mormugao council to form panel to set up health centre

Vasco: The Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) on Tuesday resolved to form a committee of councillors and medical experts to establish a health and wellness centre in its jurisdiction.
The site at Janata building which is owned by the MMC has been identified for setting up the health and wellness centre.
The council also received a letter from the local canoe owners’ cooperative to construct a fishing ramp, a net mending and a shed for a fish market for local fishermen.
It was also resolved to utilise over Rs5 crore for development works such as setting up a biogas plant at Headland-Sada.
