Ludhiana: Police raided a restaurant near South City area and recovered eight hookahs, 20 packs of hookah flavours, 11 hookah pipes and a coal burner from the restaurant. Police said that despite the ban on serving hookah, staff at the restaurant allegedly served hookah to customers, including minors.
ADCP, Ludhiana III Shubham Aggarwal said that the police acted on a tip-off about the restaurant serving hookah to customers. On the basis of information, a team of Sarabha Nagar police and Raghunath Enclave police post conducted a raid at the restaurant and caught the staff “red handed” serving hookahs to customers. A case was registered against Robin Bhalla, owner and Om Sharma, manager, of the restaurant under relevant sections . tnn
