Three killed in accidents in Coimbatore

COIMBATORE: Three men were killed in separate accidents in the district on Friday.
In an accident on Sincona Road near Valparai on Thursday, a scooter on which four men were travelling overturned. S Mahesh, 21, a mechanic from Indira Nagar in Valparai, was critically injured and was rushed to a hospital. But he died without responding to treatment on Friday. His friends Appu, Ashwin and Nandakumar suffered injuries.
In another accident, M Derance, 47, from Kurikaranpalayam was killed instantly when his bike hit a truck on Karumathampatti-Annur Road at Rayarpalayam on Friday.
In yet another incident, V Rajagopal, 75, from Sukrawarpet in the city, suffered injuries when the TNSTC bus in which he was travelling hit a centre median at Kangeyapalayam on Friday. He was rushed to the Sulur Government Hospital, but he died on the way, a police officer said. The bus was coming from Trichy to Coimbatore.
