JAIPUR: Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is continuing crackdown against illegal coaching centres in the city following paper leak cases. The civic body has already razed two buildings in the city in the last 10 days and has prepared a list of a few more ‘illegal’ ones.
“A list of few illegal coaching centres has been prepared. We are going to take action against them,” said a senior official.
JDA first razed the three-storied building of a coaching centre on Gopalpura Bypass Road on January 9. This centre was run by the prime accused of paper leak cases – Bhupendra Saran and Suresh Daka.
Even on Friday, the enforcement wing of the civic body demolished another coaching centre located on Gopalpura Bypass Road.
“All these are illegal coaching centres. These buildings were constructed violating the civic laws. So, we have no option other than to demolish these illegal structures,” the JDA official added.
On Saturday morning, JDA enforcement wing again carried out a raid and demolished another five-storied building adjacent to the one demolished on Friday. However, this building has no connection with any coaching centre.
“This building has also been constructed violating civic norms. Since we demolished the building right adjacent to this on Friday, we demolished this illegal structure on Saturday,” another JDA official said.
JDA’s drive against coaching centres has created a stir among the owners.
