Four accused surrender before court
Thiruvananthapuram: Four members of notorious criminal Om Prakash’s gang surrendered before the judicial first-class magistrate court-11 on Saturday.
Arif, Asif, Ranjith and Jomon surrendered before the court, in connection with the case registered at Pettah police station on an attack case that happened at Pattoor on January 8.
The court remanded them in judicial custody for 14 days as the prosecution strongly pleaded not to grant them bail by considering the seriousness of the threat posed by them to the society.
The gang of Om Prakash assaulted four members of another gang using swords over a real-estate business dispute at Pattoor junction. The police have already arrested five men in connection with the case.
Abhilash (33) of Manacaud, Subbaraj (23) son of Azhakar Raju of Kothuval near Chala, Shiyas (41), a native of Kaniyapuram, Ibrahim, driver of Om Prakash, and Salman were arrested.
