Mysuru: Energy minister V Sunil Kumar and MP Pratap Simha on Friday touched upon the issue of providing free energy to consumers and said
BJP won’t make any such promises to woo voters.
In an indirect attack on Congress’ promise of providing free power, the leaders without taking the party name told people not to be carried away by such freebies and promises by anyone.
At an event organised to inaugurate CESC buildings and laying foundation stones to various power transmission sub-centers in Mysuru on Friday, Sunil said people are not asking for free power but continuous and quality energy. Pratap Simha said that Delhi is a metropolitan city and generates high revenue and hence power is given free.
