AAP delaying MC elections: BJP

Ludhiana: BJP district president Rajneesh Dhiman has criticised the cancellation of the meeting of all-party councillors in connection with the upcoming elections of Ludhiana municipal corporation, calling it as a trick of AAP government.
The government wants to postpone the elections under the guise of ward delimitation as the party leaders know they are staring at a defeat, Dhiman said, adding that like Sangrur bypolls, the Aam Aadmi Party is going to face a big defeat in Jalandhar byelections and MC elections. People have now made up their mind to hand over the future of the state to the BJP so that Punjab can be brought on the path of development and peace, he said. tnn
