Panaji: Goa Public Service Commission (GSPC) on Friday completed the recruitment process of 20 junior scale officers (JSO) in record time of six months.
GPSC chairman Jose Manual Noronha said the commission has recommended 20 officers at the junior scale level to the personnel department after the three-day interview process ended on Friday.
The commission had advertised for 24 positions of JSOs in July 2022 and had received almost 3,200 applications for these positions. The first stage of the shortlisting process comprised a pre-screening test when only 141 candidates passed. These candidates then answered the screening examination, which was conducted on November 19, through a CBRT.
Noronha said 55 candidates of the 141 cleared the screening exam and answered a written exam of 250 marks.
“Of those who answered the written examination 31 passed in their respective categories and all of them were invited for an interview, which was for 40 marks,” Noronha said.
Those who made to the final list of recommended candidates in order of merit are Mrunal Sidharth Marathe, Vipul Raghoba Naik Gaonkar, Sanjana Dipak Bandekar, Nadia Ashraf Ali Shekoli, Safal Krishna Shetye, Sanket Sandip Sakhardande, Manthan Manoj Naik, Sairaj Dattaram Phadte, Amit Nagesh Sawant, Ratnakant Dinraj Govenker, Agnelo Levlino Dsouza, Manthan Manish Naik and Kaushik Dattaguru Amonkar. All in the general category.
Under the OBC category, the selected candidates are Pandurang Digambar Gad, Nehal Gajanan Talaunekar, Pratik Pandurang Porob and Bhimnath Purushottam Khorjuvekar. Jayesh Brahmanand Mayenkar, Ganraj Mahadev Morajkarand and Lyndon Provanlee Cardoso made it to the final list under ST, SC and PwD categories respectively.
