Youth smashes glasses of 7 cars in bid to shoo away dog in Nashik

NASHIK: The Satpur police have arrested a 21-year-old man responsible for the damage of seven cars in his locality on the night between Monday and Tuesday.
The accused is identified as Akash Nivrutti Jagtap, resident of MHB Colony, Satpur.
The police said that on Tuesday morning, a resident of MHB Colony complained that the glass of his car parked in front of his house was smashed by some unidentified person sometime between 7am of Tuesday.
One more person said that his car’s rear glass was also smashed by some unidentified person.
By Tuesday evening, the police got complaints about seven vehicles that were damaged by some unidentified person on the night between Monday and Tuesday.
The police subsequently checked the CCTV footage of the area and found the suspect indulging in smashing the glasses.
After circulating the photo in the area, Jagtap was arrested by the police.
The police said that according to the suspect, he was intoxicated and was trying to shoo away the dogs chasing him.
As he threw stones towards the dogs they ended up hitting the cars parked by the road side.
The Satpur police are investigating the case further.
