GURUGRAM: The enforcement teams of the
MCG razed the unauthorised road network in Gwalpahari, being built to connect with the unauthorised farmhouses which are under construction in the area. The road network was around 800 metres long.
A team led by assistant engineer Hitesh Dahiya led the demolition drive in zone 3 of the MCG on Friday. “These roads were leading to farmhouses which are illegally being constructed in the area. The action on farmhouses is taken by the town and country planning department. However, we made sure to demolish these roads which were being carved out on their private land,” he said, adding that such demolitions will continue in the area.
In zone 2, the teams also demolished unauthorised structures from the restricted area around the IAF ammunition depot. A team led by assistant engineer Ashish Hooda conducted the demolition drive. The team also removed encroachment from 1.5 acres of government land on which boundary walls and five temporary structures had come up.
Moreover, the teams also removed encroachment by unauthorised street vendors at the Mini Secretariat and Court complex.
