Bizman calls fake customer care, loses 5L

Thane: A businessman was duped off Rs 5 lakh by cyberfraudsters after he downloaded an application sent by them, following which they gained access to his personal details, and siphoned off the money. A police officer said that recently when the complainant in order to solve some error on his TV called a ‘customer care’ number that he had found online. He was told to download anydesk app, following which they took his banking details and siphonned off Rs 5 lakh from his bank account. An FIR was registered. TNN
