The NSE Nifty index closed 80.2 points down at 18027.65, while BSE Sensex ended down 236.66 points at 60621.77.
On the other hand, .(down 3.81 per cent), .(down 2.73 per cent), .(down 2.53 per cent), .(down 2.45 per cent) and .(down 2.44 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
