THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The city police commissioner has issued an order dismissing three police officers from service for getting involved in grave crimes and also for making lapses in the probe on a sexual assault case registered.
The order was issued after the responses submitted to the show-cause notices were found not satisfactory.
Railway police inspector Abhilash David, who is currently under suspension for his alleged links with dubious personalities, was terminated from service for making serious lapses in the probe conducted on a sexual assault case when he was the station inspector at Sreekaryam police station.
Sheri S Rajan, who is attached to Nandavanam AR Camp as a driver, was dismissed from service for being an accused in a sexual assault case registered at Aruvikkara police station and also for assaulting an elderly woman.
Reji David, an officer at Thiruvananthapuram traffic police station, was terminated for being an accused in a sexual assault case registered at Medical College police station.
