Token strike by private hosps’ body on Jan 23

Jaipur: Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Society (PHNHS) announced token strike against the proposed Right To Health Bill on January 23, the first day of winter session of assembly.
PHNHS secretary Dr Vijay Kapoor said, as part of the strike OPDs will be shut for two hours (9-11AM) at all medical establishments (hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centres). On Wednesday, the health department had conducted consultation with doctors’ bodies and private hospitals on the bill and sought their suggestion, following which, health secretary Dr Prithvi had pointed out that suggestions received were valuable and some can be accommodated. tnn
