Election Commission seeks report on Tripura violence

The Election Commission of India has ordered Inquiry into the incident of Political Violence in Jirania Sub Division of West Tripura District reported on 18th January 2023.

Tripura CEO tweeted, "The Election Commission of India has asked Chief Electoral Officer, Tripura to obtain report from DGP Tripura through Chief Secretary, Tripura and submit report by 3 pm on 20.01.2023."

A bike rally of the Congress party was attacked in which 18 congress leaders and supporters were injured including their central leader Ajay Kumar.
