Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.37% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 11:16AM(IST)on Friday in an upbeat market.

Coforge(up 6.82 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 1.28 per cent), Persistent Systems(up 0.86 per cent), HCL Technologies(up 0.64 per cent) and Tata Consultancy(up 0.45 per cent) were among the top gainers.

L&T Technology(down 2.86 per cent), MPhasis(down 1.63 per cent), Infosys(down 0.13 per cent) and Tech Mahindra(down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty IT index was up 0.37 per cent at 29741.7 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 0.75 points at 18108.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 18.45 points at 60876.88.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of , , PNB, Ltd. and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , , Arihant Academy Ltd., Trans & Rectif and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Future Consumer, , , and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
