Man accuses wife of abetting daughter's sexual harassment in Pune

PUNE: A Chakan resident has filed a police complaint accusing his wife of abetting the sexual harassment of their 13-year-old daughter by her friend over the past year.
The complainant alleged that his wife's friend took obscene photos of the child and touched her inappropriately. He alleged that his wife never objected to such actions and let the man continue with the harassment.
An officer from the Chakan police said the girl's mother did not approach the police as the man had threatened her that he would end his life if she revealed anything. "The girl recently informed her father, who immediately filed a complaint," the officer said.
The Pimpri Chinchwad police on Wednesday arrested the man and booked the woman on charges of sexual harassment and voyeurism under IPC and relevant provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
