She also accused the wrestling federation chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexually harassing girls and calling her a 'khota sikka' after her defeat at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.Olympians Bajrang Punia, Sakshee Malikkh and Phogat led the protest at Jantar Mantar against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), alleging "harassment of wrestlers by the WFI through its arbitrary rules and regulations".The protesting wrestlers further accused the WFI of interfering with their personal lives and exploiting them.Olympic medalist Bajrang Punia earlier said the wrestlers want the management of the Federation to be sacked and replaced.

Srinagar-Jammu national highway closed, flights affected after fresh snowfall
Most parts of Kashmir received fresh snowfall on Friday leading to the closure of the Srinagar-Jammu national highway and impacting flight operations to and from the Valley, officials said here.Snowfall was recorded at tourist towns of Pahalgam and Gulmarg, as well as in Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Budgam, and the upper areas of Kupwara, Ganderbal and Srinagar.Traffic movement on both sides of the Srinagar-Jammu national highway -- the all-weather road connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country -- was stopped due to snowfall and shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal, officials said.Moreover, flight operations at the Srinagar airport were affected due to snowfall and low visibility, the officials said.
Bombay High Court (HC) grants interim bail to arrested Videocon group chairman, VN Dhoot
Dhoot had approached the high court soon after the same bench had on January 9 granted bail to co-accused - Chanda Kochhar, former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ICICI bank and her husband Deepak Kochhar. Dhoot's advocate Sandeep Laddha had argued that Dhoot's arrest was unwarranted as he had co-operated in the probe.CBI, however, opposed the same saying that the Videocon Group founder had attempted to avoid the probe and hence the arrest was legal.Dhoot, arrested by the central investigative agency on December 26, 2022 and presently in judicial custody, had moved the high court earlier this week seeking to quash the CBI FIR and sought to be released on bail by way of an interim order.
