3 new cases of Covid-19 recorded, 5 recoveries in Telangana

HYDERABAD: Telangana on Thursday recorded three new cases of Covid-19, taking the total number of cases so far in the state to 8.4 lakh. The death toll so far is 4,111. No deaths were recorded on Thursday.
A total of 8.3 lakh patients have recovered from the infection in the state with five new recoveries on Thursday.
The case fatality rate (CFR), a measure of infected patients succumbing to the virus, is currently at 0.49% in the state. The recovery rate meanwhile is at 99.5%, remaining constant for over a fortnight now. There are 17 active cases in the state currently.
On Thursday, a total of 4,343 samples were tested for Covid-19.
Telangana has tested 3.83 crore samples so far since the beginning of the pandemic and has reached 10.30 lakh samples testing per million population.
Meanwhile, even as the authorities have asked everyone to remain cautious, health officials stressed that people with co-morbidities, elderly and children must wear masks while stepping outdoors or in public spaces.
