
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 187.31 points down at 60858.43 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Ltd.(down 19.69 per cent), Oriental Veneer(down 12.65 per cent), Chandra Bhagat Pharm(down 10.00 per cent), National Standard(down 10.00 per cent) and Captain Pipes(down 9.84 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 19 stocks closed in the green, while 31 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 57.5 points down at 18107.85.
On the BSE, , ., Chordia Food, SVS . and Vikas Proppant & Gr hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , , , and Insolation touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
