NOIDA: Days after the Noida Village Residents' Association (NOVRA) met MLA Pankaj Singh over the need for parking space in markets, decongestion of Bhangel and IGL connections, the Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Association (FONRWA) is preparing to meet Noida CEO Ritu Maheshwari on next Monday, where they plan to take up various issues of residential sectors.
Some of these include last-mile bus connectivity, pet policy, upgrade of power infrastructure and the safety issues in the sectors.
"We met the MLA on Sunday to apprise him about some of our pending demands. One of them is related to parking space near the upcoming Bhangel elevated road. We have asked MLA Singh to assist us in directing Noida Authority to plan official parking space below the elevated road, especially from Salarpur market to the Bhangel market which is the second most biggest rural market in city after Atta, and in Barola area. ," said Ranjan Tomar, president of NOVRA.
Tomar, who expressed concern over the delay in the construction of the Bhangel elevated road also raised the issue of piped IGL connection for the villages.
Meanwhile, FONRWA has asked over 180 RWA members to furnish details of pending civic and infra issues which need to be redressed . Some of the issues that are finalised to be taken up in the meeting include a detailed discussion on the pet policy, last-mile connectivity, new substations for power infra ramp up and quality drinking water.
"Though the authority has made amendments in its pet policy, we still need to engage more agencies to undertake sterilisation of stray dogs on an immediate basis and provision of more shelters to control the menace of stray dogs," said Yogendra Sharma, president of FONRWA.
