Biker hit by truck dies

Mandya/ Mysuru: A biker died in a road accident in Maddur town on Tuesday night. Police said Abhishek, 27, from Hadavanahalli of Kunigal, was hit by a truck, while he was going from Mysuru to Maddur. He was rushed to the government hospital in Maddur, but he did not survive, they said.
Doctor ends life
A 54-year-old private medical practitioner was found hanging at her residence in Srirampura on Tuesday. Dr. Ganga Bhagirathi had lost her husband six years ago and lived alone at her house. She practised at a private clinic in HD Kote. According to sources, she was fighting depression. Ashokapuram police have taken up a case. tnn
