Rakhi Sawant arrested after Sherlyn Chopra's complaint against her for use of 'objectionable language'
Rakhi Sawant was arrested on Thursday (January 19) and brought to Amboli police station. Her anticipatory bail before Dindoshi Court got rejected yesterday (January 18).
Sherlyn Chopra, who had filed a complaint against Rakhi last year for use of 'objectionable language', tweeted about Rakhi's arrest.

She wrote, "BREAKING NEWS!!! AMBOLI POLICE HAS ARRESTED RAKHI SAWANT IN RESPECT WITH FIR 883/2022 YESTERDAY, RAKHI SAWANT’S ABA 1870/2022 WAS REJECTED BY MUMBAI SESSIONS COURT."

Sherlyn's lawyer Suhail Shariff has also confirmed the news to ETimes TV.

Rakhi was supposed to inaugurate her dance academy today (Jan 19) at 3 pm.

Rakhi has been making headlines for her personal life. She recently announced that she got married to beau Adil Khan Durrani in July last year. There was a small nikah and a court wedding.

Rakhi shared photos of the legal documents and videos of the nikah ceremony.


While Adil denied the news initially, he later accepted it and told exclusively to ETimes TV first that he is married to Rakhi.

Rakhi has also been struggling due to her mother's health. After walking out of Bigg Boss Marathi 4, she learnt that her mother was hospitalised due to her brain tumour. The actress did a Live video and broke down talking about her mother's health.
