In Thane, woman gets 3-year RI for flesh trade

THANE: Thane sessions court on Tuesday convicted a 39-year-old woman and sentenced her to three years of rigorous imprisonment for running a flesh trade in Navi Mumbai.
The accused, Khatija Shaikh, a native of Kolkata was convicted by sessions judge V V Virkar, one other accused woman who was also booked in the case was acquitted by the court, said Rekha Hiwrale the public prosecutor.
