Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.34% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:50AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Pfizer(up 0.84 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(up 0.78 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(up 0.35 per cent), Abbott India(up 0.31 per cent) and Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals(up 0.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Gland Pharma(down 1.56 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals(down 1.55 per cent), Laurus(down 1.28 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 0.84 per cent) and Granules India(down 0.73 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.34 per cent at 12691.8 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 51.0 points at 18114.35, while the BSE Sensex was down 151.19 points at 60894.55.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.

Shares of , YES Bank, Zomato Ltd., and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , RBM Infracon Ltd., , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Vikas Proppant & Gr, Anlon Technology ., Chaman Metallics Ltd., and Nureca Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
