Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 3.18%), G S F C(down 3.06%), Madras Fertlizers(down 2.30%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 2.17%), Sikko Industries(down 1.83%), Agro Phos(down 1.45%), National Fertilizer(down 1.16%), & Fertilizers(down 0.99%), & Fertilizers(down 0.98%) and & Petrochemicals(down 0.94%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 57.5 points down at 18107.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 187.31 points at 60858.43.
Coal India(up 3.27%), UPL Ltd(up 2.08%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.68%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.04%), SBI Life(up 0.95%), Tata Steel(up 0.9%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.7%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.64%), Axis Bank(up 0.51%) and Tech Mahindra(up 0.47%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 3.7%), Asian Paints(down 2.69%), Tata Motors(down 1.87%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.84%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.77%), Titan Company Ltd(down 1.61%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 1.6%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.36%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.33%) and UltraTech Cement(down 0.98%) closed in the red.
