Stock market update: Nifty Auto index falls 0.37% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 11:00AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.

TVS Motor Company(up 0.98 per cent), MRF(up 0.59 per cent), Bharat Forge(up 0.39 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Tata Motors(down 1.35 per cent), Balkrishna Industries(down 1.15 per cent), TIINDIA(down 0.67 per cent), Eicher Motors(down 0.65 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.56 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Auto index was down 0.37 per cent at 12774.35 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 64.45 points at 18117.75, while the BSE Sensex was up 251.9 points at 60907.62.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.

Shares of Ltd., , PNB, and FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , Homesfy Realty Ltd., , and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Anlon Technology ., Chaman Metallics Ltd., FSN E-Comm(Nykaa), . and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
