Ranchi:
Sanjay Kumar Singh, a 55-year-old resident of Doranda locality in the city, gulped down 2.92 kg of curd in three minutes on Tuesday to win the first prize in the men’s category of a contest organised by the government-run Jharkhand State Milk Producers’ Cooperative Federation (JMF), known by its brand name Medha.
The milk producers’ federation said around 190 people took part in three categories of the competition — male, female and senior citizens — in which Sanjay Kumar Singh ate the highest quantity of curd (dahi) across all categories. JMF said the rules were simple — eat as much as dahi in three minutes — during the Medha Dahi Khao-Inam Pao competition organised at its office in Hotwar here on Tuesday.
The winners received gift hampers with different quantities of Medha products as prizes
JMF MD Sudhir Kumar Singh said, “The purpose of this competition is to spread awareness among the people to eat healthily.”
