Man attacked on road at night, robbed of vehicle in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: A pick-up van driver was allegedly robbed of his van by three men on Ludhiana-Ferozepur road near Verka Milk plant late on Monday night. The victim alleged that three men on a bike intercepted and thrashed him before escaping with his van.
The victim, Jaspal Singh of Dugri area is a driver who was returning after delivering a few LED TVs in Ferozepur. He said that the accused also took some cash that he had on him.
Sub-inspector Amrinder Singh, SHO, Sarabha Nagar police station, said that police recovered the pick-up van from Jassiyan area, where it was parked in a vacant spot.
Initial probe found that while returning to Ludhiana, Jaspal stopped at a liquor vend near Mullanpur, where he had an argument with a few men, who followed and robbed him of his van. Further investigation is on, said police officials.
