Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Wednesday's session.

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 4.99%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 4.69%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 2.88%), & Fertilizers(up 1.35%), & Chemicals(up 1.16%), Aries Agro(up 1.06%), Sikko Industries(up 1.02%), Rama Phosphates(up 0.67%), & Fertilizers(up 0.60%) and Coromandel International(up 0.14%) stood among the top gainers.

& Petrochemicals(down 2.05%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 1.56%), G S F C(down 1.51%), Bohra Industries(down 1.49%), KRISHANA(down 1.39%), Fertilizers (down 1.10%), Agro Phos(down 0.96%), & Fertilizers(down 0.85%), ZUARIAGRO(down 0.55%) and Madras Fertlizers(down 0.29%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 112.05 points up at 18165.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 390.02 points at 61045.74.

Hindalco Industries(up 3.08%), Tata Steel(up 2.6%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.41%), UPL Ltd(up 1.83%), HDFC(up 1.78%), HDFC Bank(up 1.77%), Coal India(up 1.76%), Wipro(up 1.73%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.42%) and JSW Steel(up 1.27%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Motors(down 1.66%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 1.38%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.28%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.17%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.67%), Nestle India(down 0.61%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.6%), Cipla(down 0.53%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.41%) and State Bank of India(down 0.25%) closed in the red.
