
On the 27th death anniversary of Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao (NTR), Jr. NTR and Kalyan Ram on Wednesday paid respects in the wee hours at the NTR Ghat in Hyderabad.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao also known as NTR, is one of the biggest names in the South Indian cinema industry. NTR, who is also famously called as ‘Anna’, had a phenomenal career spanning three decades and appeared in more than 300 films.
NTR was a powerful politician who created the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1982 and also ruled the Telugu cinema industry for many years. His party emerged as the sole challenger to Congress in the state throughout his three years as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
NTR passed away on January 18, 1996, after a heart attack. His grandchildren Jr. NTR and Kalyan Ram were among the hundreds of people who mourned the illustrious actor on the 27th anniversary of his passing.
Jr. NTR uploaded a picture of his grandfather on January 18 of last year. On the anniversary of his passing, fans recalled NTR for his legendary roles and paid their respects to the National Award-winning actor.
