3 men posing as cops dupe foreign couple

Gurgaon: A couple from yemen was allegedly duped of 4,300 USD on Sunday when three miscreants impersonated as cops stopped the two on the pretext of checking their belongings while they were returning to their hotel in Sector 39.
According to the police, the couple had come to Gurgaon on October 22 for medical treatment. Mohamed Ashaq Abdul Aziz from Yemen said he and his wife had gone to Rajiv Chowk and around 6pm while they were returning, three people in a car stopped them. “They told us they were from the police team and had got orders to check if we are carrying drugs. While checking, one of them took the bag which had 4,300 USD, our passports and visa documents. I tried to take the bag back, but they fled in the car,” Aziz said. TNN
