Stock market update: Nifty Bank index advances 0.09% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded positive around 11:22AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

HDFC Bank(up 0.95 per cent), AU Small Finance Bank(up 0.49 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.34 per cent) and Axis Bank(up 0.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.

IDFCBANK(down 1.9 per cent), IndusInd Bank(down 1.22 per cent), Bandhan Bank(down 0.73 per cent), ICICI Bank(down 0.39 per cent) and Punjab National Bank(down 0.34 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was up 0.09 per cent at 42204.8 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 85.3 points at 17980.15, while the BSE Sensex was up 313.75 points at 60406.72.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of PNB, IOB, , YES Bank and UCO Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Homesfy Realty Ltd., , , Ltd. and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , Anlon Technology ., Omkar Speciality, Chaman Metallics Ltd. and Moxsh Overseas Educon Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
