Panaji: The directorate of education (DoE) has asked schools to screen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s live broadcast of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ on January 27 from 11am. Schools have been told to invite public representatives to attend the programme, like MPs, MLAs, panchayat members, eminent personalities, retired officers and parents, to view the broadcast live.
The interactive session by the PM will be broadcast live across several TV and radio channels, besides online portals.
“In order to ensure maximum number of students, parents and teachers across the state are benefitted from the PM’s encouraging words of wisdom, you are instructed to make necessary arrangements in your school so that all students from Class IX and above can view/hear the telecast through television/projection screen/radio etc. This information may be widely disseminated through your office school website, social media groups, etc,” stated the circular to schools.
Schools also have to display banners or posters about the upcoming programme on the school notice board, read the circular.
Schools have also been asked to submit a report on the program, complete with photographs, to the State Council for Educational Research and Training later that day.
“Let us join in celebrating the main event of utsav of examination, ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, in order to bring joy in learning for our future nation builders and to reduce examination fear and anxiety,” stated the circular.
The programme is held annually by the PM “to relieve examination-related stress among children”.
The Goa Education Development Corporation is also hosting an art competition related to the programme.
