Mysuru: Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai will inaugurate a programme organised to distribute equipment to the disabled persons organised by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in Nanjangud on January 29.
In a meeting at the zilla panchayat, here, Chamarajanagar MP V Srinivasa Prasad said the programme is scheduled at Taluk Stadium in Nanjangud.
The equipment will be distributed to the disabled from four assembly segments - Varuna, T Narasipura, Nanjangud and H D Kote, coming under Chamarajanagar
Lok Sabha segment in Mysuru district.
The equipment will be distributed among the 1,963 beneficiaries. A total 68 Lok Sabha constituencies in the country have been selected for the programme and Chamarajanagar is the only Lok Sabha constituency selected from Karnataka, he said. Prasad also said the authorities have identified beneficiaries and 1,499 beneficiaries are participating in the programme.
