Shekhawati people told not to venture out
Jaipur: Temperature has gone dangerously low in the Shekhawati region prompting health authorities to appeal to people to take precautions due to risk of hypothermia in children and other related illnesses among adults. With the mercury dipping below 0°C, health department officials in Shekhawati region has appealed to people not to venture out in bone-chilling nights.
Since the cold wave has revived in the state, with Fatehpur in Sikar district witnessing below-freezing temperatures, the health department has appealed to people to ensure safety during cold wave.
“People of the Shekhawati region have adapted living in freezing cold. However, we have appealed them not to venture out and if they are going out they should wear proper clothes to ward off risk of falling ill,” said Dr Nirmal Singh, the CMHO of Sikar.
Officials have appealed to people to take necessary precautions. Apart from Sikar, temperatures are plunging to below 0°C in Churu. TNN
