2 killed, 15 hurt as bus falls in canal in Bihar's Rohtas district

PATNA: Two persons, including a girl, died and over 15 passengers sustained injuries when the speeding bus, they were travelling in, fell into a canal on the roadside on Kargahar-Sasaram Road in Rohtas district on Monday morning, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Doli Kumari (17) of Garura village and Radheshyam Singh (45), a resident of Simariya village under Shivsagar police station of the district.
The injured persons, including Daurika Rajak, Dhanrajo Devi, Lalji Sah, Siddharth, Usha Devi and others, were admitted to the Sasaram sadar hospital for treatment.
The mishap took place at Chausa Path near Konar village in Shivsagar, when the speeding bus was going towards Sasaram from Kochak. The driver lost control over the vehicle and it overturned into the canal.
