iQOO Neo 7 5G confirmed to launch in India on February 16: Here is what to expect

The iQOO Neo 7 will be announced in India on February 16. The company has announced the launch date of its upcoming mid-range 5G phone, which is already available in China. However, there are rumours that the Indian version will be slightly different than the original version. It is being said that the company has plans to launch the iQOO Neo 7 SE in India as the iQOO Neo 7. This one is also available in the Chinese market, so most of the details are already out.

If this turns out to be true, then it won't be surprising because the company has done this for a few older models too. Additionally, ahead of the launch, the 5G phone has been spotted on a Geekbench listing, which suggests the new phone could have specifications similar to the Neo SE smartphone. The Neo 7 SE and the Neo 7 reportedly have the same chipset. Here is a look at the features of the iQOO Neo 7 SE.

iQOO Neo 7: Expected specifications

If the specifications are similar to the iQOO Neo 7 SE, then the device could feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen that runs at Full HD+ resolution. The panel has support for a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother performance. The screen offers about peak brightness of 1,300nits, similar to many mid-range premium phones. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset, which is a 5G chip.

Under the hood, one will find the typical 5,000mAh battery, which has support for 120W fast charging tech. The company bundles a fast charger in the retail box, unlike brands like Apple and Samsung. The provided charger can top up the phone's battery by 60 percent in about 10 minutes, as per the company.

For photography, one will find three cameras at the back of the iQOO Neo 7 SE. The mid-range phone features a 65-megapixel main camera with support for OIS. It is accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. This time around, the company has skipped the 8-megapixel sensor in favour of a 2-megapixel sensor, which is a downgrade. These 2-megapixel sensors are of no use in real life and you don't get much of a result. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies.
