ADANIGREEN(up 9.09%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.60%), Indowind Energy(up 4.59%), Karma Energy(up 2.76%), Transmission(up 1.89%), Suzlon Energy-Partly Pd up Right Is(up 1.36%), RTNPOWER(up 1.27%), NHPC(up 1.16%), Energy Development Company(up 1.07%) and KPI Green Energy(up 0.81%) stood among the top gainers.
PTC India(down 2.97%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 2.35%), Adani Power(down 2.06%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 1.63%), PIGL(down 1.55%), NLC India(down 1.34%), NTPC(down 1.10%), Orient Green Power Company(down 0.91%), Inox Wind Energy(down 0.90%) and Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 0.69%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 61.75 points down at 17894.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 168.21 points at 60092.97.
Tech Mahindra(up 3.12%), HCL Technologies(up 1.48%), Infosys(up 1.45%), Wipro(up 1.19%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.11%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.77%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.55%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.5%), State Bank of India(up 0.48%) and ITC(up 0.44%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 2.72%), Axis Bank(down 2.25%), JSW Steel(down 1.21%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.2%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.12%), NTPC(down 1.1%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.03%), HDFC(down 1.02%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 0.96%) and HDFC Bank(down 0.96%) closed in the red.
