PM Narendra Modi addresses the first batch of Agniveers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and defence minister Rajnath Singh today addressed the first batch of Agniveers virtually. Agniveers are selected under the Agnipath scheme for the three armed forces. Agniveers will serve for four years. As per the Agnipath scheme, a provision is there to retain 25 per cent of the Agniveers for 15 more years.
