Jaipur: Two days after a 22-year-old man allegedly killed his wife by strangulating her at Bhojka village under Pahari police station area of Bharatpur, police stated that the accused was a conman. This was one of the main reasons behind the feud between the husband and wife.
On Thursday, the accused identified as Izhaar had killed Manufida (20) and dumped her body in a farm close to her maternal house. Soon after the murder, the accused had called up the neighbours of the woman claiming the murder. He is on the run and teams are working to nab him, police said.
“The primary reason behind the feud between husband and wife is that the accused was also into conning people and his wife told him not to indulge in crime. Parents and other relatives of the woman stated that due to his habit of conning and beating, she had come to her maternal parents’ home 10 days ago. The accused also followed her and started living at his in-laws’ house,” said a senior police officer of Pahari police station on Saturday.
Police said that even a panchayat was called in the village to persuade the accused not to thrash his wife and live peacefully. “The accused is presently on the run. Since Pahari area is close to Nooh Mewat of Haryana, our teams are raiding places in
Haryana too. We have some clues on his whereabouts and he would be arrested soon,” the officer added.
