Uttarakhand crisis: Work on demolition of hotel underway in Joshimath

In the wake of the land subsidence crisis in the Joshimath area of Uttarakhand, the dismantling of Hotel Mount View is underway. Police personnel were deployed in large numbers around the hotel. The demolition is being carried out under the technical supervision of the Roorkee-based Central Building Research Institute, according to officials.
