‘Sundargarh may get light rain on Jan 17-18’

Bhubaneswar: The state may witness light rainfall at isolated places in select districts, including Sundargarh, on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the influence of a western disturbance, the IMD said on Saturday. Rourkela in Sundargarh district is hosting matches of the men’s hockey World Cup.
Dense fog may also prevail on Sunday over 10 districts — Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda and Dhenkanal.
The office of the special relief commissioner (SRC) in a letter to district collectors asked for steps to control plying of vehicles on highways due to dense fog to prevent any accident.
