CM approves ₹200 crore for police buildings
Jaipur: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday approved Rs 176.11 crore for the construction of buildings of the state police and Rs 25.37 crore for construction of administrative buildings of the 6th battalion of Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) and Mewar Bheel Corps, Kherwada.
Rajasthan Police will spend the Rs 176.11 crore on construction of SPs’ offices, circle offices, new police stations and chowkis, said officials. As per the provisions, the state is going to get 26 new police stations, three cyber police stations, and 16 new police chowkis.
“Also in this approval, a provision has also been made for reconstruction and repair work at police stations that are in a poor condition and other offices,” said an officer with the CM’s secretariat. tnn
