GURUGRAM: The CM flying squad along with health department officials and police raided a private diagnostic lab in the Kasan Dhani area and a six-bed hospital at Naurangpur village in the Kherki Daula area and arrested two men on Thursday. Both the lab and hospital have been sealed.
The CM flying squad, along with the medical officer of the primary health centre (PHC) at Kasan village, nabbed the owner of the Shorya Diagnostic Path Lab, identified as Satya Prakash for illegally running the lab without registration and and mandatory papers..
“During the raid, accused failed to provide any legal papers. Also, he could only produce a certificate from an open university. The team seized various items used for medical tests," said Sandeep Gupta, medical officer of Kasan village.
"Our team arrested the owner and started further investigation into the matter. A case has been registered under 420 (cheating) and other relevant sections of The Indian Medical Council-Act," said Subhash Chand, SHO of Sector- 7 Manesar police station.
Meanwhile, another team from the CM flying squad, Gurugram drug controller, health department and the police arrested the owner of the illegally running hospital, identified as
Bhim Singh. The complainant, Tarun Chopra, medical officer of Nakhdola village said that Singh had no license to run a hospital and had Ayurvedic doctors prescribing allopathic medicines to patients.
An FIR under sections 420 (cheating), 336 (endanger human life or the personal safety of others) and relevant sections of The Indian Medical Council-Act have been registered.
