Behave responsibly: BJP to Cong leader
Mysuru: A day after BJP national general secretary C T Ravi filed a defamation case against Mysuru-based KPCC spokesperson M Lakshmana at a Chikkamagaluru court, BJP leaders on Friday asked the Congress leader to behave responsibly and not to make wild charges.
“Our leader has taken legal recourse to discipline the Congress leader,” Mysuru district BJP chief Mangala Somashekar and city BJP chief T S Srivatsa said. While they said politicians have the right to criticise their opponents, they should not cross the line.
Mangala Somashekar said Congress leaders have launched Jana Dhwani Yatra as they fear they will not get majority in the assembly polls given that BJP governments in the state and at the Centre are pro-people. “They are also getting AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to attract women voters. But she has never worked for the welfare of women,” she added.
Srivatsa said ahead of the assembly polls, the city BJP unit has completed Bhoot Vijay Abhhiyan in 830 booths among 1,124 booths in city limits.
