4-year-old girl suffers injury after ‘manja’ tears her neck in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A four-year-old girl suffered a serious injury when a nylon kite flying manja tangled around her neck while she was travelling on a motorcycle with her father at Nagole in LB Nagar on Friday.
Chaitanyapuri police said that family members of girl are yet to approach them and lodge a complaint. According to reports, the girl along with her parents were travelling on bike towards Uppal and when the two-wheeler came on Nagole flyover, Manja got entangled around her neck, resulting in a serious injury.
“She was soon rushed to a nearby private hospital for immediate medical assistance,” the police said. The passers-by and commuters came to the rescue of the girl and helped the family to shift her to a nearby private hospital.
