SI booked for taking Rs 8,000 bribe in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Friday trapped a sub-inspector working in Bahadurpura police station after he allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of ₹8,000.
ACB officials said they received a complaint from a victim, who claimed the SI demanded bribe to avoid making complainant’s son an accused in a case. He was taken into custody and booked under Prevention of Corruption Act.
