Haryana extends winter holidays in Schools till January 21

The Haryana Government today decided to extend the winter vacations in all government and private schools till January 21, 2023. The decision is taken after considering the prevailing cold conditions across Northern India including Haryana. As per the notice, the schools in the state will now open on Monday, January 23, 2023.

Haryana Government today extended the winter break in all government and private schools till January 21, 2023. The decision is taken in view of the prevailing cold conditions across Northern India, including Haryana. Now, the schools in the state will open on Monday, January 23, 2023.
Earlier, the state government had extended the winter vacations till January 15, 2023 due to the cold wave. As the cold conditions are expected to continue in the coming week, Haryana government has again extended school breaks till January 23, 2022.
The Directorate of School Education, Haryana issued a notice in this regard. "In view of the intense cold conditions, all government and private schools in the state shall remain closed till January 21," reads official notice.

However, considering the board exams, students of 10th and 12th will continue to have their regular classes.
Indian Meteorological Department, IMD has predicted a fresh spell of cold waves and dense fog in parts of North India, including Haryana in the coming week.
