'Kashi to connect with world via waterways too'

VARANASI: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Kashi is famous as the cultural and spiritual capital of the world, reports Binay Singh. "Under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, Kashi has established itself on global platform while maintaining its ancient soul. Along with land and sky, Kashi is now going to be connected through waterways as well. He said that it is a matter of pleasure that the world's largest passenger cruise 'Ganga Vilas' will be flagged off by the Prime Minister on Friday.
The CM was addressing the people in the cultural programme organised on the eve of the flagging-off ceremony of cruise MV Ganga Vilas and inauguration of Tent City on Thursday evening in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor complex. He said that water transport was started from Kashi to Haldia by the PM three years ago. Along with Kashi, this gift has been given by the PM to the people of Uttar Pradesh. Travelling with the world's largest passenger cruise ‘Ganga Vilas’ will be thrilling as well as adventurous, to promote tourism. The cruise Ganga Vilas will depart from Varanasi and cover 3,200 km across 27 river systems in five states.
